One-Year Health Guarantee

At PawPrints, the health and well-being of our kittens is our top priority. Every kitten is vet-checked, vaccinated, and comes with a comprehensive One-Year Health Guarantee covering serious genetic and life-threatening conditions.

What This Guarantee Covers

For the first one, 1) year from the date you receive your kitten, the following conditions are covered:

Life-Threatening or Severe Conditions

  • Congenital heart defects (grade 4 or higher)

  • Serious organ dysfunction

  • Genetic defects that significantly affect the quality of life

  • Any life-threatening congenital defect

Feline Viral Diseases

The following must be diagnosed and reported within the first 15 days (incubation period) to qualify:

  • Feline Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper)

  • Feline Coronavirus (FCoV / early FIP symptoms)

If your kitten develops any untreatable, life-threatening defect — or passes away due to a covered heart, organ, or genetic condition — you must provide:

  1. Initial veterinary examination reports clearly stating the diagnosis or cause of death

  2. A photo of the kitten (deceased) in the event of loss

  3. Permission for us to speak directly with your veterinarian

  4. Copies of all vet records related to the condition

This documentation allows us to verify the claim and assist you promptly.

What Is Not Covered

Our guarantee does not cover common, treatable, or non–non-life-threatening issues, including:

  • Parasites (internal or external)

  • Hernias

  • Open fontanel

  • Mild or moderate heart murmurs

  • Respiratory infections

  • Allergies

  • Fleas, ticks, mites

  • Hypoglycemia resulting from improper feeding

  • Any condition that is easily treatable and not life-threatening

Parasites are common in kittens and, although we treat all kittens before they leave, they are not covered, as they are easily resolved with standard veterinary care.

Owner Responsibilities

To keep your kitten healthy and to maintain this guarantee:

  • Feed your kitten properly to prevent hypoglycemia / low blood sugar

  • Ensure timely vet checkups and follow your veterinarian’s care instructions

  • Report any severe symptoms or concerns immediately

Failure to follow proper care guidelines may void the health guarantee.

Replacement Policy

If a kitten is confirmed by a licensed veterinarian to have a covered life-threatening congenital or genetic defect — or passes away from one — PawPrints will provide a replacement kitten of equal value as soon as one becomes available.

Please note:

  • We do not cover any veterinary bills, treatments, or medical procedures

  • The health guarantee covers replacement only, not refunds

Our goal is to ensure that every family receives a healthy, well-cared-for kitten and a joyful adoption experience.
